Issues & Platform
The Green Party's platform is one of compassion for the Earth and all its inhabitants, and guided by the Ten Key Values (listed at right). In that mind-set, as a member of the County Board, Edgar pledges to:- Protect taxpayers through a sustainable planned fiscal policy
- Advocate for incentives for builders to incorporate sustainable architecture into new buildings
- Strengthen independent local business
- Advocate for a more democratic style of home rule that includes checks and balances and participation of precinct committeemen from all parties.
- Support increased funding for county services most needed by the elderly, disabled and working poor.
